This paper presents a novel type of artistic virtual environment, populated by evolving sonic
agents. Particular attention is paid to the methodology employed as part of the agent’s evolu-
tion in relation to the audience. Through a link between the real and virtual spaces, agents ev-
olve implicitly to try to maintain the interest of the audience.
