Report discusses contribution of Birkhoff&amp;#039;s aesthetic measure to formal aesthetic evaluation of regular geometrical objects, namely Chinese vases. Characteristics of aesthetic measure function are considered in order to verify correctness of such application and extended Birkhoff&amp;#039;s aesthetic measure is then introduced. Pristine ritual nature of an artistic expression evolved into premeditated production and admiration of aesthetic, sensually engaging artifacts that have endured in a form of material or immaterial artistic creations up to the present days.
