Dr. John Collomosse ist ein englischer Computerwissenschaftler mit dem Forschungsschwerpunkt Computer Vision am Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) der Universität Surrey.
Wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit
John Collomosse verwendet Computer Vision und Computer Graphik Technologien um Big Data Probleme im Bereich Visuelle Medien zu lösen wie beispielsweise neue Wege zum Suchen und zur Präsentation von großen Sammlungen visueller Medien. Dies beinhaltet skizzenbasierte Suche von Fotos und Videos, künstlerische Stilisierung (artistic stylization) vom Medien Sammlungen, visuelles Suchen von Tanz durch Fotos und choreografische Suchanfragen durch Skizzen. Seine Arbeitsgruppe entwickelt Technologien für die Filmproduktion wie z.B. automatische Metadaten Kommentare, 3D Figurenanimation und 2D nicht-photorealistisches Rendering (Non-photorealistic rendering (NPR)).
