Gary R. Greenfield ist ein US amerikanischer Mathematiker und Computerwissenschaftler, der sich vor allem mit Algorithmischer und Evolutionärer Kunst beschäftigt. Er war bis zu seiner Emeritierung Professor an der University of Richmond (Virginia, USA).
Wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit
Studium der Mathematik und Computerwissenachaft an der Universität California (Los Angeles) von 1968-72. Promotion in Mathematik an der Oregon State University 1972-76.
Forschungsinteressen: Algorithmic and Evolutionary Art, Artificial Life and Evolutionary Computation, Cryptography, Division Algebras und Brauer Gruppen.
Hochschultätigkeit: Assistant Professor an der Wayne State University 1976–1981, Assistant Professor an der University of Richmond 1981–1989, Associate Professor an der University of Richmond 1989–2008, ab 2009 Professor an der University of Richmond.
